The Aggie Sailing Club is dedicated to promoting the sport of sailing and fostering a welcoming community of sailors. We believe that sailing is more than just a sport—it's a way of life that teaches valuable skills, builds character, and creates lasting friendships.
Our mission is to make sailing accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced racer, we provide the resources, training, and support you need to enjoy the thrill of sailing.
The Aggie Sailing Club was established by a group of passionate students who wanted to share their love of sailing with the university community. The initial facility was at Lake Somerville (28 miles from College Station).
We acquired our first fleet of boats, making sailing accessible to more students!
We moved to Lake Bryan, our current home. A dedicated clubhouse was built, providing a central location for meetings, training, and social events.
We competed in our first nationals in 2015.
Replaced entire fleet of 420s, purchasing a slightly used fleet from a northeast university.
A second team was created for those new to sailing to learn the basics making the club more accessible to all.
Celebrating 45 years of sailing excellence and community building at Texas A&M University.

Drew leads our club with passion and dedication, overseeing all club operations and representing our sailing community.
Captain
Jack serves as our club captain, coordinating sailing activities and ensuring smooth operations on and off the water.
Practice Captain
Korbin organizes and leads our practice sessions, helping members improve their sailing skills and techniques.
Treasurer
Sydney manages our club finances, membership dues, and ensures responsible stewardship of our resources.
Social Chair
Charlotte plans our social events and gatherings, helping members connect and build lasting friendships beyond the water.
Fundraising Chair
Elizabeth leads our fundraising efforts, securing resources to support club activities and equipment needs.
Equipment Manager
Jeffrey maintains our fleet, keeping our boats and gear race-ready for every practice and regatta.
Facilities Manager
Ben oversees our clubhouse and facilities at Lake Bryan, keeping everything running smoothly for practices and events.
