The Aggie Sailing Club is dedicated to promoting the sport of sailing and fostering a welcoming community of sailors. We believe that sailing is more than just a sport—it's a way of life that teaches valuable skills, builds character, and creates lasting friendships.
Our mission is to make sailing accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced racer, we provide the resources, training, and support you need to enjoy the thrill of sailing.
The Aggie Sailing Club was established by a group of passionate students who wanted to share their love of sailing with the university community. The initial facility was at Lake Somerville (28 miles from College Station).
We acquired our first fleet of boats, making sailing accessible to more students!
We moved to Lake Bryan, our current home. A dedicated clubhouse was built, providing a central location for meetings, training, and social events.
We competed in our first nationals in 2015.
Replaced entire fleet of 420s, purchasing a slightly used fleet from a northeast university.
Celebrating 25 years of sailing excellence and community building at Texas A&M University.

Drew serves as our club captain, coordinating sailing activities and ensuring smooth operations on and off the water.
Practice Captain
Menya organizes and leads our practice sessions, helping members improve their sailing skills and techniques.
Treasurer
Sydney manages our club finances, membership dues, and ensures responsible stewardship of our resources.
Media & Communications
Kate handles our social media presence, website content, and keeps our community informed about club activities.
Travel Coordinator
Scott coordinates travel arrangements for regattas and events, ensuring smooth logistics for our competitive team.
Fundraising Coordinator
Ryan leads our fundraising efforts, securing resources to support club activities and equipment needs.
Membership Coordinator
Zach focuses on member engagement, organizing social events and building our community spirit.
Engagement Coordinator
Canaan manages member recruitment, retention, and ensures all members feel welcome and supported.
