Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need sailing experience to join?

No sailing experience is required! We welcome sailors of all skill levels and provide comprehensive training programs for beginners.

What equipment do I need to bring?

We provide all necessary sailing equipment including life jackets, boats, and rigging. You just need to bring appropriate clothing for the weather.

When can I use the boats?

Boats are available for use during club and team practice times.

Are there any age restrictions?

Members must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.

Can Blinn Students Join?

Blinn Team can join as club members. Unfortunately, we cannot offer team membership to Blinn students, as they are ineligible to compete in regattas.

What happens if I can't swim?

Basic swimming ability is required. We provide comprehensive safety training and all members must wear life jackets while on the water. There is a swim test on the first day of practice.
